Canadian Young Scientist Journal
I do not think there is any thrill that can go through the human heart like that felt by the inventor as he sees some creation of the brain unfolded to success. - Nikola Tesla, 1896, Inventor of Alternating Current
The Canadian Young Scientist Journal is a non-profit organization that provides a unique opportunity to high school and university undergraduate students to express their views on a broad range of scientific topics and introduce themselves to the national scientific community.
The Journal is peer-reviewed scientific publication totally dedicated to original student work. It publishes two issues a year that are distributed to every secondary school in the country and to its subscribers/members: public libraries, universities, research centers, medical and engineering professionals and parents.
Canadian Young Scientist Journal sees its goals in:
- Fostering a new generation of Canadian scientists: sparking new interest in scientific research and science careers among young people
- Offering young talents a unique platform to discuss their ideas with their peers and with national and international academic communities
- Stimulating a resurgence of science education in Canada

The Journal became a great motivation and enrichment of high school curriculum in multiple subjects from sciences to art, from communication technology to politics. It proved to provide learning opportunities in the field of non-fiction writing, graphic communication of scientific ideas and career choices and much more.
We thank all educators and parents for their participation in this valuable program and fostering a new generation of Canadian scientists
